The Annapolis Valley is Nova Scotia’s wine country! Plan a relaxed afternoon sipping and sampling at these top spots:

  • Luckett Vineyards (Wolfville, ~15 min) – Great wines, a gorgeous patio with a view, and a red British phone booth in the vineyard!
     
  • Gaspereau Vineyards (Gaspereau, ~15 min) – A quieter spot with lovely wines and picnic options.
     
  • Lightfoot & Wolfville Vineyards (Wolfville, ~20 min) – Stunning views and fantastic wood-fired pizza.


  • Elderkins Cider  (Wolfville) – For the cider lovers — small-batch and wildly good.

Bay of Fundy Adventures

Home to the highest tides in the world, the Bay of Fundy coastline is a must-see.

  • Halls Harbour (~25 min) – Watch fishing boats rise and fall with the tides and grab some fresh lobster at the Halls Harbour Lobster Pound.
     
  • Blomidon Provincial Park (~30 min) – Hike to panoramic cliff views, beachcomb, or walk the ocean floor during low tide.
     
  • The Lookoff (Canning, ~20 min) – A scenic viewpoint overlooking the valley — great for sunset or quick photo ops.

  • Wolfville (~15-20 min) – A charming university town with boutique shops, great cafes, and a weekend farmers’ market.
     
  • Berwick (~15 min) – Small-town charm with parks, murals, and the fabulous Union Street Café.
     
  • Annapolis Royal (~1 hr) – A history-lover’s dream with Fort Anne, the Historic Gardens, and quaint main street shops.

Small Town Wandering

  •  Ovens Natural Park (Riverport - 1 hr) - Explore sea caves, hike dramatic coastal cliffs, and soak in stunning ocean views.


  • Miners Marsh (Kentville) – Easy walking trails with boardwalks and birdwatching just minutes from town.
     
  • Eagle’s Nest Trail (North Mountain, ~25 min) – Short, rugged hike with rewarding views.
     
  • Cape Split (Scots Bay, ~1 hr) – One of Nova Scotia’s most iconic hikes. Plan for 4–5 hours round trip.


  • Titanic Gravesite - Fairview Lawn cemetery, Halifax - 1hr) For a moving, memorable stop, visit the resting place of over 100 Titanic victims. 3720 Windsor St. Halifax

  • Elderkins Farm U-Pick (Wolfville - 20 mins) - Berry picking and ice cream; a perfect combination. 


  • Valley Drive-In Theatre (Cambridge, ~10 min) – A nostalgic summer evening experience for all ages (check listings for showtimes). 


  •  Shubenacadie Wildlife Park (Shubenacadie, ~1 hr)
    Home to over 50 species, including moose, wolves, and birds of prey. Features a nature center, playground, and picnic areas.  


  • Wolfville Farmer's Market (Wolfville) Saturdays 8:30 - 1 pm. Find local artists, artisans and treats.


  • Splashifax and Atlantic Splash Adventure - Hammonds Plains - 1 hr) Canada's largest inflatable water park, water slides, a lazy rive and amusement rides for all ages. These two separate businesses are located near each other and offer tons of fun.

  • Kings Arms Pub by Lew Murphy’s Located in a historic brick building, this pub serves classic dishes like burgers, seafood, and salads, complemented by local craft beers, wines and live music. 


  • Maritime Express Cider Co. Set in a restored railway hotel, this cidery offers a chef-driven menu featuring comfort foods like fried chicken sandwiches and brunch favorites, alongside their house-made ciders. 


  • Half Acre Café A cozy spot known for fresh baked goods, gourmet soups, and quality coffee. It's a great place for breakfast or a light lunch.
